Who we are
My name is Carolynne.
It all started when my daughter wanted a Ragdoll, and we fell in love with the breed.
I am a mum to two beautiful daughters and four amazing grandchildren, along with all my cats and my dog.
At the time, I was a dialysis patient at Bendigo Hospital and had plenty of time to spend with these beautiful cats. The kittens brought me so much joy during a very difficult period of our lives. I am grateful to say that I received my fourth kidney transplant in 2023, and all is going well.
Along the way, I have met some wonderful people who have become lifelong friends. I still receive regular updates on our babies, which you can see on our Facebook Group: Mayflower Ragdolls Australia.
I love having the opportunity to find the perfect homes for these beautiful kittens, and the joy on the faces of new owners when they pick up their new babies is truly heartwarming.
These beautiful cats have been my life for many years now, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

“This cat/kitten will be kept indoors and will not be allowed to roam freely outdoors.” Ragdoll cats are not “street smart” and they are not fighters. They are extremely trusting and must be kept safe by their owners. If you want to take them outdoors we suggest an enclosure or harness and lead or a pet pram.
“Under no circumstances will this cat/kitten be sold, leased, or given away to any pet store, animal shelter, research laboratory, breeder, or similar facility.”

I use a fine kitten brush. Ragdolls love to be brushed once they get over the “This is a fun game” stage. You will need to spend a few minutes to run a fine toothed stripping comb through them 1-2 times per week during the shedding stage to prevent the fur matting. I enjoy brushing the cats as it’s a great opportunity for bonding. Check the cat carefully every few days when they are shedding their winter coat and then comb out any matted areas before they become unmanageable.

You will need a bed, a litter box, wet and dry food bowls, and a large water bowl. A scratching post or cat tree is very important to prevent your kitten from scratching your furniture. Cats love having a high place to retreat to when they need some quiet time.
We provide a kitten care bag that includes food for the next few days, toys, a brush, and a blanket that smells like their mum and siblings. You will also receive a booklet with all the essential information you’ll need to care for your new Mayflower Ragdoll.
